May the breath of haka awaken your inner warrior and energize you for a great day ahead
Haka is the ceremonial “war dance” coming from the Māori culture, New Zealand. Through teaching haka as I learned it from my mentor Matiu Te huki, I strive to inspire people of all genders, backgrounds and ages to rediscover their inner warrior.
This Rise & Roar Morning Activation Flow is inspired by elements of the ancient Māori practice of haka.
This morning practice is designed to:
- energize your body and mind, fostering a sense of empowerment and setting a positive tone for the day and week ahead
- feel any emotion that might be hidden under the surface, let them move through you using body movement and sounds
- get familiar with the practice and qualities of haka.
This workshop – open to everyone, no previous experience required – is a personal journey and a connecting group experience.
